The wardrobes aren t attached to anything right now we still have to secure them to the wall add crown molding and then get those walls planked behind the bed for the finishing touch. We still need to add clear glass knobs onto the doors. Not gonna lie it takes some time and effort to get a custom look. As for the top we may add crown molding to it eventually but for now we just wanted to finish this project on up.

Adding crown molding to the top visually connected all the wardrobe sections and immediately changed the feel. Pax looks great on its own and is super functional but if you re willing to go the extra mile you can make ikea pax look like custom cabinetry. They come in various sizes but given the size of pax i went for the extra long ones at 45cm. Very elegant pax hack with black paint molding and vintage brass knobs is ideal for vintage spaces.

But maybe someday we ll be bored and out of projects and add it ha maybe in ten years at this rate. I was able to get this look by hacking an ikea pax corner wardrobe by adding crown molding and baseboards for a built in look and brass doorknockers for some extra shine. To give the wardrobe some extra oomph i opted for antique brass long handles which i found on cast in style here. Ikea pax wardrobe is a simple and cool piece for your clothes and shoes though you may say that it looks too usual or even cheap.

After successfully painting the wardrobe to match the rest of her room she used zinsser s shellac based primer to combat the pax s slick paint resistant surface she added a few inches of trim to elevate the frame. Since we re the only ones who will even look up and see it s totally fine that it isn t 100 built into the wall. And that s it for now folks.

I would love to do this as looking into pax wardrobes but want a more expensive custom look but have a question obviously the baseboards and crown moulding are glued fitted to the floor and ceiling but i would still love to add the wood trim and drawer fronts.
